A week passed by...
It was Tuesday 27, 1974 it was the atfernoon when the kids came home ...
But something was different ...Art was cying.
Ms Jay went up him and asked "Why are you crying Art ?"
"Just don't yell at me or hit me Ms Jay" said Art as he handed ove a note from school to her . the he ran across the room and hid under th couch.
Ms Jay open the note and read it in the note it said the following:
To the Mr and Ms Jay :
We the teachers are to do our best to fit Art into school..But he has alot difficuly in school .He is slow to develop his speech and difficulty with P.E . He has poor reading skills and shy if he has to read out lound ,aiso he has poor handwriting .The adility to exptess himselve every. then they is copying from the blackboard , he sit up too close .He is emotional and behavioural problemes and all the boys thiks he is gay.he have poor balance in play on the play ground or at PE. poor gross motor co-ordination and difficulty with remembering some hard instrctions. Aalso, we thnks he has difficuly with eye movemenents with moveing haed instead of his eyes in class .
we think he needs glasses. it will take time for him to over come some these difficuly and problem.but we thinks it will him a lot whan he gets gless,it will out some so soon you take him to you eyes doctor to gets his glesses.

Than Ms Jay put the letter away.Then she phoned their's family eye doctor and made a appointmet for Art first thing in the morring .Then, Ms .Jay when over to the couch that Art was hinding under. he was crying out loud " DON'T HIT ME !! .. DON'T SEND ME TO MY BEDROOM WITH DINNER ..PLESASE I'LL DO ANY THING I WILL EVEN WAX YOUR CAR AND FLOOR IF YOUR FORGET THE NOTE..JUST LIKE THE LAST TIME......"
"Art, everything is ok . You are haveing a flash back from the last letter your dad got from school befor joining us dear" said Ms .Jay There was no answer just cryiing. "i'll let you be dear .we are not going to do anythings bad to you or put you to work. if you feel like comeing out. i will give you a nice big hug : said Ms .Jay as walked into the kitchen to get dinner readly.
As soon Ms Jay was in the kitchen ,Art come out the ran out side to the paly house and went to his room
then hid uder his bed. as quit as a piece of paper on the floor.Soon.. dinner was ready everyone to the drinner table but Art.
"Wher is Art ? He is not under the couch ? Where he when to?" said Ms Jay" I saw that chicken run off down the street to Miss J's play house ,boy he looks like he going to get beaten up by someone HA -HA !" laughed out lound Quiet
" QUIET !, That wasn't nice of you atall .go to your room unill your say sorry to him again." said Ms Jay pointing down the hall to his room .So off Quiet stomming off to his room with his dinner. then Ms.Jay told Miss J to take Atr's and her'd dinner to her play huose so Miss J got ready over ther then Ms.Jay said to Miss J "I think he may be under his bed, Just put his dinner close by his bed so he can see it. then go to your tv foom have you dinner and wiat untill he feel like taking to soone he can trust like you my dear and if he haveing one of his pankic attcks just phone me and I'll bring his pills ,ok dear!"
"ok mom will do " said Miss J as she when out the door to her play house

" Do you like to take a nature walk with me Art ?" ask Miss J
"YES!,Sure Miss J " said Art as he followed Miss j out the back door and on one of many paths that when though woods. Soon something had caught Art's eye... it was a broken casstte tape.
Art art pick the broken cassette tape .whan Art pick it up Miss J asked "why did he picked up that tape ?"
"I leaned to fix tapes that are broken over the year i collected a lot of music that I love .Because of that my dad never bought any for me only for my brothers!"
I find the song i find and some of songs the tapes that helped me to get away from thing that bugged me .By dreaming as I listen to the songs" said Art
that soung a clubs that i belong to "said Miss J
"what clubs is that ?" aske Art
" the B.B.L.A.B.R.J.A.T.A.F.H.R.I.C.S ( big bust ladies again restest jokes about them and for human right in cartoon strips ) Yukon chaper for over six years now and C.B.L.C club(Canada bottle lines collesters)" said Miss J
The thay took a little unused path they when down the a bit when it was getting dark .So they started back to home .....When they hear somthing like a toy plane it sounds it was getting close to them.
"then the heard a cash just behimg then by some bushes next to them.
"Art what was that?" yelled Miss J
"i don't know Miss J my frend but there are just too many trees for some fling there's molde plane here" siad Art
"let's look i think they someone or some thng behind those bushes "said Miss J as they went over to the bushes to take a look.
As thay peeked throught the bushes thay saw a small space ship with small block looking lifefroms.
"Look! , one of then lookef he hat been hit and it looks hurt from the crash!" sais Art as he walked evey so slowly over to them.
" hi I'm not going to hurt you, let me be your friend " said Art ah he slowy picking one up
" ART -NO!!! YOU MAY BE IN DANE......!!!!" yelled Miss J
"Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa---QUEEN! said one of the lifefromes the one that Art was holding.then the other lifeform moved and mad a ring aruond Art
"ZIPS-ZIPS-ZIPS--OURS---NAMES!!"said one of the liveforms was standing the ring around Art
"Tuh-Kuh,Tuh-Kuh,Tuh-Kuh,--Found!" said the lifefroms Art wes holding
"Buh-Dee Guh,Buh-Dee Guh,Buh-Dee Guh, -SAVED!!" said the livefroms was standing around the ring.
Then the all looked up to Art and smiled .they look happy.
" I think you just made some new friends Art "said Miss J
" yes I did !,Did I?--we are the few have seen other likefrom and you and me will keed this to our-self and ones we knows thar will keed this quiet" sang out happy Art as the he hug the livefrom that was in his arms!
"Yes i'll be glad to,but what to call them?" aske Miss J
"WE-ZIPS !" said the likefrom the one Art was holding
"ZIPS!...they are ZIPS ,So let be it"sang out happy Art
"We better hurry it's geting close to night .I'll carry they ship and can carry yuor new friend " said Miss J as they picked the ship and the Zips and headed home.
Some time later at home..
Miss J hid the ship in her workhop, as she was doning that Art was getting readly to go to bed"
"Boy all the informaion we will learn about this race" said Art to himself "and they's histoy of space thought thier eyes" course this will take time but i'll wait untiil the know and bit of us and our earth"
then Miss R and Miss J came up to Art " Is it ok if my sister know about the Zips " asked Miss J
"Yes, she can, say where did you thire's ship ?" said Art
"in my worshop in the back and don't worry about Quit ,he never look in my own worhshop .he do not go to any place that dose have test toob and other thing like thant in there"said Miss J
So Art showed Miss R the Zips.
"WOW!!" they look so hapy here . and it look like they like you too " siad Miss R
"At fist ,it's took soom time but at the end they like me"said Art "for was it with it pays to make friends of every race"
Then Art looked sad...
"with all the new friend that made here .I still miss my greandmother in the still of night I hear my grandmother calling-"don't worry everything will be find"- that I STILL HEAR HER CALLING OUT TO ME,I STILL LISTEN FOR HER ENDLESS*" said Art
"i know you missed her she the only in you family that loves you

"you always will be a girl Art in my mind and heart "said Miss J
"That so kind Miss J and so ture it feels great finaly....
to be out of the shell
that's all i wanted in like to be one with me and far
from that sell of the one that's wasn't me....
OH!.. that's is great to ge out finally out-to-as me
and fell the same thing as you to-be-out-here-with-you-be here with you!
to ge here far away from my shell far,far away!!

said Art as he daenc around the room and off to bed.
the next day..
It was Friday so early in the morning just Before School Ms Jay and Art whet to the optometrist on Main Street. As the enter the optometrist 's office Art saw the wall around him full of glasses
"Hello! Are you here to see the optometrist?" asked the woman behind the desk
" Yes we are the name is "Jay" said Ms Jay
"Ok just sit over there he out to see you soon, " said the woman behind the desk
So Ms Jay and Art sat down and waited
" It so nice to miss the morning classes "said Art to himself
Time dragged on..
Ms Jay was reading a book and Art was looking at all the pairs or glasses around the room.
"I wonder with on of these glasses will be mine " art wonder to him self
Then the optometrist came out a small room then walk over to the woman at the desk said a few words the walked over to Ms Jay and Art and said "who is next?'
"We are "said Ms Jay "this is Art
"Hi Art " said the optometrist come with me"
So Art did just that
In few hour Art did many eyes test the off to the waiting room for his glasses
An hour later the optometrist came back with tow pair of glasses for Art .one pair was his backup pair and the other he put on his face
Art was happy with his new glasses
Ms Jay paid the optometrist then took art out to lunch the drove him to school for the rest of the day.
Monday.
Art and Miss J walked in the class as the bell rang and soon the school day have begun.
At resets.. Art didn't what to go out to play in the school yeard the teacher asked Art why?
"All in the school when the see outside the my name in very hi voice this have going on all the school year.
I have asked them nicely to stop this but they don't they keep doing thing but worst this is bugging me deep in my hart" said Art in a sad lonely tone.
"Why don't you show me who them are ? said the teacher
" I just can't ! They still make fun of me or beat me up and still talk about me when there bracks are turned It hope less no matter what you do or any other teacher!" said Art
Then the bell rang and Art what back to his class.
Then next class was gym.
At gym the class played dodge ball(this Art like because he hit ones that makes fun at him and get a way with it) like all ways Art ways in the girls team .

.. ..
Soon, it was lunch. .at lunch Art told Miss J " dodge ball is the only game I love and really good at it the only time I hit those boys that always makes fun at us and get with it and there no a thing they can do about it" said Art with happy smile as he open his can of juice
" Yes it goes the same here my friend it so great of what" said Miss j as she open her juice box.
Then one of the boy in there class came up to them "why did you send my friend to nurse office when we play dodge ball kid !, you may lucky in gym now it play back time!"
"Because he was so ruled to us in the playground!" said Miss J "that Art hit him with the ball a hand to him!
"is that so.." said the boy pointed his finger at both of them " you are a B **** !"
" I'm not one for those " said Miss J as she stand up looked the boy right in the eye
"YES you are it time to take you down too ! You look nice be all girls like you are weaklings s
yelled the boy
"WEAK ,MY FOOT" You take that back! That is unfair to all the girls in this school " said Miss J
"You beter lave now or Miss J going some that you--"said Art
" SHUT UP YOU LITTER ^*&%$ WIMP ! yelled the boy as he shuged Art . Art landed on the floor in cryin in pace
"he cut me" said Art hold his hand to his haed
"You *^%^ !! You going to pay dearly for that no one hit my friend and gets a way with it" craied out a evey mad Miss j
Then.... the whole lunch got quiet so quiet that you only hear Quiet eating away this lunch that if did cair at all.
The slowly evey one in the room said at the said uitill it got faster and londer
"FIGHT !,,,,FIGHT !!"
"is a fight that you i 'll give you all a good one with thin weak dumd Girl !" said the boy .Then he took a siwg at Miss J
But ! Miss J grabbed his and firinged up the air and a cross the room to the far table and as laned there so hard it drock in two"
"there !.. Tat will teach you to fool with meme" said Miss J as she pick up Art and took him to the nice office.
then the bell rang knowing Miss J that she be late of class she wait for Art at the nice office . then Art came out then they when to they class room.
But as they got in the door the teacher send Miss J and Art to the principal office down the hall. As Miss J and Art enter the office they saw the principal and sitting by him was Mr. Jay.
"Well little lady; I don't know what to say or do about you and your friend here. I see there will more of this to come" said the principal
"Do you know why you both are here?" asked the principal
"Yes we do Mr. Principal that kid need some to show that we won't be push around any more !" said Miss J and Art
" Yes my dear .. but that is not the to get your point across" said Mr. Jay
"that is the only way dad it's not the 1950's anymore " said Miss J
" Yes that a good point there my dear .I guess that bullies are driffer then I was a kid" said Mr. Jay
" I know that too Mr. Jay as the principal for over 15 year now thing like that have way too fast that it should" said the principal as the look at Mr. Jay with a sad worry look on his face
"So are we going say after school?" ask Art started to cry
"No in your case only in your case I've to bend the rules here I don't do this often but until the boys in this school stop bulling you two this is not the way keep you two in school after school only bring more of the same bulling" said the principal
then the principal added " I guess I have get use to this so you too go back to class"
" Thank you Mr. Principal you have a nice day" said Miss J and Art as they when out the door.
Five days later....
on Thursdat 20 1974
It was a nice warm morring their was a nice breeze in the air a Miss J ,Miss R ,Quiet ans Art was waitng for the bus to come. Unknown to them that this day will cheagh them and whole town in a they never forgot.
As they got on the bus it feel to Miss J it was quiet little too quiet no one is bug them to day WHY?
" Some is not fight here, sis There must be must be planning something big" said Miss J as there where to the only free seats in the bus that at the back
"Yes!, I feel the same too" said Miss R
....
....
Soon the was at school the got off the bus and whet to the school grounds but the got there all the boys made a cirlic around them .
This mends only one thing to them they to fright today.
"It's time to you of you to take one way trip out of here for good " yelled one of the boys
"We don't think so we what pace "said Miss J and Miss R
"You got be joking you can't" yelled anther boy
"why?" asked Miss J
" You have those big---" yelled the sane boy
"WATCH IT !, you pushing it ! kid" yelled Miss J
"OH!; LET'S TAKE THEM ON !!" yelled all the boys as the rushed Miss J ,Miss R and Art pushing Quit to the side and out of the fright.
....
.....
Then the bell rang but the fright when on . it look bad to Miss J and the rest what one great 8 kid came to join but on boy's side on Miss J's
"Look it's ours dad friend MR,YT came to help us " Miss R as Mr. Ya made it tough the boys to them
"Yes !, Now things in our favor "said Miss J
......
.....
Soon their was only two standing Mr. YT and a other a kid that was new to Mr. YT class he just started today
"Who is that ?" saaid Art as he cammed the round monkey bars
" His name is "MR. Golden"" said the principal as he came up to them.
"WHY !, You and all the teachers didn't stop the fight ?' said Miss R
"That no go Mr. Golden had fooled us by made up that this fight was at the other end of the school in the teacher's parking lot. But thank to Mr. YT came and save the day but it's looks a showdown " said the principal
then the bell rang again it was 10:00 the morning recess
then just the whole school came out and look up by the river at the old shipyards there black smoke in the clear blue sky.
The smoke when up about over 100 to 250 feet in the sky. Soon the whole town saw and smell the smoke.
Then on for the teacher came up to the principal told some and him a microphone " and said that the rest school day was cancel and the riverboats S.S Casca and the S.S Whitehorse was on fire
So quickly the kids all lave the school but not for Mr. YT and Mr. Golden they are still dukeing it out
"We have some how to put a stop to this" said Miss J look at Mr Yt and Mr Golden fighing.
Just then! Mr. Golden picked up Mr. YT by his leg then spin him around so fast .the Mr. Golden let go of Mr. YT's leg. Make him airborne and flaw where the fire was.
"NO! MR YT!" yelled Miss J and Art
Then Miss J said Look MR Golden is leaving
..
..
LOOK! Do I see that Mr. YT is flying back here ?" said Art
"Yes he can fly and boy he look mad " said Miss J as she pointed to Mr. YT

then Mr. YT rushed off look from Mr. Golden. Soon My Jay drove up to them got the car and said "the school phoned and told us that school is canellen for to day"
then Mr. YT came up to them and said to Mr. Jay "we have promule sir !"
"and what is that my good friend ?"asked MR Jay
"that new kid name Mr. Golden have the same super as I " said Mr. YT
"and?" said Mr. Jay
"I see him somewhere in my past bit I'm not sure who he really is yet but for one thing he looks differ !" said Mr. YT
" for now on.. we'll better watch him" said Mr. Jay
"YES Sir and I will see you later on said Mr. YT as he few up in the sky then he was gone.
Then Mr. Jay turned to the kids and said "Ok ! Let's get some ice cream "
So every got in the car and driven to Dairy Queen.
At 5:30 Mr Jay took Miss J Miss R and Art down to the smoling asge of the two great ols riverboarts .The S.S Casca and S.S Whitehorse.
"It's make me sad to see them gone just like when i told you what happed to the S.S Jay that your granddads had own " said Mr Jay in a sad Voice " I hope we never lose the other ones to fire!"
Then there drove home.
